Apologue features a performance in which I crawled around a dog track chasing a mechanical hare. The camera shot is fixed on one corner of the track and so shows the figure gradually appear, become larger, and then pass by. During this time an apology is heard in which a female voice reads out a script of selected public apologies, including those of Tony Blair, Mike Tyson, and Michael Jackson. An 'Apologue' is a fable or allegory that has an exaggerated and distinct moral message frequently conveyed in the anthropomorphic use of animals as central characters.
