Non-Denial, DVD, 48Sec, Continuous loop, 2007
In Non-Denial I used an acroprop to compress myself against the walls of the Grey Area gallery with the intention of reading a speech at the same time. The speech was originally made by Bill Clinton to deny his relationship with Monica Lewinsky, but due to the physical exertion of the acroprop I was unable to make the speech. The film is shown horizontally on a TV, which is itself compressed against the gallery wall with an acroprop. The prop is also lined up with the TV speaker so that the film's audio resonates in its cavity, chiming in the gallery like a tin whistle.
